Richard Hywel Evans Architecture and Design are an award winning and world renowned practice with a portfolio that is varied, exciting and unique.

We’ve worked alongside Richard in the past on some great projects so were delighted when he asked us to redesign his own website.

As a team RHE are passionate about their work and our brief was to ensure that the quality and depth of each of the projects shone through. It became pretty apparent that the best way to do this was to create a space that allowed the work to speak for itself.

The Flash front end allowed us to create a fullscreen experience that immerses the user in the world of RHE. Download times were carefully balanced against image size and quality to ensure Richard’s clients who are often based in far flung corners of the world can experience the site at the highest quality possible.

Similarly a specific iPhone optimised version of the site was created to ensure a target audience who are often travelling can view the site and Richard is able to show his work in that chance business opportunity in an airport departure lounge.

In addition we also created a custom content management tool that allows Richard and his team to add new projects to the site, reorder the portfolio, add news stories and update the ever growing Award section.
